Dear Patient:
We have made some changes to the hours that our
clinics are open. We have done this for several reasons we think are good for
you, our staff, and the environment. What we are doing is extending our hours at
each clinic, Howard Hughes and Torrance, but closing our doors at the Howard
Hughes Clinic on Fridays, and at the Torrance Clinic on Mondays.
How will this work for you:
- Telephone
lines are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM to take
care of your calls.
- The
Howard Hughes office has clinical hours Mondays through Thursdays from
8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. But you may call the office on Fridays and our staff
will still be able to take care of your needs over the phone.
- The
Torrance office has clinical hours Tuesdays through Fridays from 7:30
AM to 5:00 PM but you may call the office on Mondays and our staff will
still be able to take care of your needs over the phone.
- Weekend
calls will continue to be handled as they have been in the past. The doctor
on call can be paged for emergencies, or you can leave a non-urgent message
for the clinic that you attend or the department you need to reach.

line numbers for you to call to take care of your specific needs. By calling the
direct lines it may save you a little time and effort.

Many of you have expressed the wish that we were open a
little later, or a little earlier, for your appointments and we hope this new
schedule is helpful. Additionally, because of the ever-increasing gas
prices, and unrelenting traffic, we feel that this is an important step towards
saving our environment and decreasing our staffs’ time on the road. Finally,
but not least, we hope that four-day work weeks for our staff will increase
their quality of life without decreasing our availability to you, our valued
patients.
