We have put together a comprehensive list of organizations for you to contact that might provide greatly needed help during this difficult time.  You can click on the links and be forwarded directly to each organization, or simply call the number and ask for details and assistance.

Copay/Insurance Assistance Websites

Access2Wellness phone: (866)317-2775.  Access2wellness is designed to help patients with prescription medication financial issues. It provides access to one of the broadest selections of assistance programs that offer more than 1,000 prescription medications for free or at a discount to those who qualify.  This site contains information about these programs and can help determine if you might be eligible to receive assistance. www.access2wellness.com

Cancercare Copay phone: (866)55-copay.  The CancerCare Co-Payment Assistance Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in 2007 to address the needs of individuals who cannot afford their insurance co-payments to cover the cost of medications for treating cancer. www.cancercarecopay.org

Chronic Disease Fund phone: (877)968-7233.  The Chronic Disease Fund is an independent non-profit charitable organization that helps underinsured patients with chronic disease, cancers or life-altering conditions obtain the expensive medications they need. CD Fund assists patients throughout the United States who meet income qualification guidelines and have private insurance or a Medicare Part D plan but cannot afford the co-payments for their specialty therapeutics. www.cdfund.org

Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP).  The California Department of Aging (CDA) is responsible for the statewide administration of the SHIP which is delivered through the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP).  Twenty-four of Californias 33 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) are responsible for oversight of local HICAPs.  Seventeen of the AAAs contract for HICAP services; the remaining 9 provide service directly.  HICAP services are available in all of California's 58 counties.  HICAP services can be accessed via a toll- free line (1-800-434-0222).

National Cancer Information Center (800)227-2345 is available 365 days a year to help cancer patients with treatment related financial problems.  The center maintains a database of community resources that have funds available for medical care or to help patients with utility bills, food or rent. 

Partnership for Prescription Assistance (888)477-2669.  The Partnership for Prescription Assistance helps qualifying patients without prescription drug coverage get the medicines they need through the program that is right for them. Many will get their medications free or nearly free.  The Partnership for Prescription Assistance will help you find the program that’s right for you, free of charge.  www.pparx.org

Patient Access Network Phone: (866)316-7263. The Patient Access Network (PAN) Foundation provides co-payment assistance to help underinsured patients access the medical attention and treatment they need to sustain a reasonable quality of life.  www.panfoundation.org

Patient Advocate Foundation phone: (800)532-5274.   Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) is a national 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which provides professional case management services to Americans with chronic, life threatening and debilitating illnesses. www.patientadvocate.org
